About Me

Hi!

I'm Sherry Ran, a concept artist and illustrator.

I always excited to draw beautiful characters and vivid world-building concepts! My work is strongly influenced by anime, paired with a soft, dreamy approach to rendering. I mainly focus on character turnarounds, splash art, and prop design. Background & landscape illustrations are also welcome—I love anything that is fantasy!

From a young age, I enjoyed spending hours creating on my own, and imagining stories that extended beyond what I saw in the originals. That sense of curiosity and world-building has stayed with me, shaping the way I design and the way I tell visual stories today.I tried many kinds of art starting in elementary school—piano, calligraphy, figure skating—but drawing is the one that stayed with me, and the one that carried me the furthest.

I spent extensive time training in traditional fine art throughout middle and high school, and I’ve been exploring ways to merge those foundations with the things I love ever since. After going to Savannah College of Art and Design, I began working across concept art and illustration, blending my background in traditional fine arts with my passion for anime-influenced aesthetics.

Outside of work, you can usually find me daydreaming about the next fictional universe I want to build.
